I am an owner operator truck driver. Just spent 3200 on truck repairs. Made it 500 miles down the road and broke down again on the ramp from I96 to I94 west. Had to have the truck towed yet again and I am gonna be late on a delivery in colorado springs. To make it even better the shop can't even look at my truck untill monday and that is when I'm supposed to be in colorado springs. So here I sit in motown in a hotel with 24 ice cold heineken and loosing more money than I was gonna make on this trip.

sorry to hear that man, that definatly sucks....
Hope you get back on track quickly and start making the $$$ again!

Sorry to hear, I had a bad day today myself. It seems like when it rains it pours. Keep your head up and you'll get through it. I wish you the best of luck.

I snapped the two leaf springs on the front differential.also had an oil change and grease replaced a few lights and a clutch break aswell. Right on my work order it says they inspected and adjusted the clutch. Not even 500 miles later my 1 year old clutch blew apart. Needless to say I'm pissed.

damn, thats crappy luck, well, at least you have some beer to keep you company

oh, and welcome to Motown Muscle, sorry about the circumstances

Things keep getting worse. The shop told me this morning that they don't think it is my clutch, they believe my tranny has let go. Now the detroit economy is going to get a 5000 dollar influx thanks to yours trully. I don't think I'm gonna be back to where I was (almost ready to start building my 427 stroker) for another 4 or 6 months now. Why does it have to be so farkin hard to get ahead in life?

Been asking that same question for over 2 years now. Busting your ass for nothing doesn't make for an optimistic outlook, especially the longer its drawn out. Hang in there, you're not alone.
