Ok heres a recap.
June 2005 my 18 year old brother and his friends get into a rumble with some older kids at some park. I was at my moms getting ready to go out to club 7 in pontiac. I see him when he gets home and yada yada.
Then one day i am told i have a warrent out for my arrest in a local city. I went to find out what happened and boom locked up on assault and battery charges.
So this little punk that got beat up tells the police i was there and hit him with a chain or someshit. all BS!
Fast forward to this morning. My lawyer shows up to court an hour and a half late(great start). I was suppose to be having my jury trial today but no the prosecutor forgot to send out subponeas(not sure on the spelling). the case should have been dismissed but no my lawyer didnt even try. instead she comes back with a bullshit plea. she knows that i am innocent and i wont plea out. so she offers it to me and when i say no she says that she wont represent me anymore. and asks the judge to be released from the case. she just left me there!
Now the judge wont let me get a free lawyer and he told me to represent myself!!!!!!! The case is pretty cut and dry i have witnesses that were at the fight and know that i wasnt there but come on! how the fuck do you just leave your client standing in front of the judge!!!!!!
The entire time she was my lawyer she wasnt worried about proving me to be innocent, she just wanted me to plea out. everytime i went to court with her she had some "great news" for me about a plea.
has anyone here rep'ed themselves? what are your thoughts on it. i spent most of my funds on the first lawyer and a P.I.
