I had the worst bad beat of my life tonight in Texas Hold'Em

I can't believe I lost this hand.

I'm more of a conservative player, then when I get hands I tend to be very agressive.

I bet at every turn, and I STILL lost this hand.

Pre flop: I bet 5x's the BB (she calls - omg)

Post flop, I bet 2x's my original bet (she calls)

Turn, I bet huge and she calls and I am dumb-founded

a J hits on the river, and the girl fucking calls, just SICK. I hate playing women in poker, they call anything I swear. BTW- this girl is like a calling station, any bet she calls if she has some sort of draw. This hand just makes me sick.

2 weeks ago I lost my 88's with 99's on the board, me betting huge, and some girl holding AK till the river and caught her A, again, sick.

I hate poker sometimes, and I realllllllllllllllly HATE river rats.

I play on pacificpoker.com every once in a while. I usually dick around in the .50/1.00 or 1.00/2.00 rooms until I have enough money to go play in the 20/40 rooms or something. The problem in the lower rooms is nobody cars about loosing 10 on a hand if they're betting all the way through. Once you start having to call a minimum of 20 people change their minds.

I know how you feel though.

This wasnt online, this was a live person game we play every tuesday.

Also, it's low limit but we play a points based tournament to give it some real value, the final point is how many starting chips you have for the final game where the pot is like huge compared to our normal night of cards.

That sucks but the straight was there from the onset. That third ace really
sucked you in eh? Sometimes that shit happens.

I have to say that I play A LOT of poker...Many Tourny's. I would have called you in an instant. Pocket aces aren't that good and very often get beat in exactly the way you did. Now A/K is a much better hand in my opinion, hell even off-suited. Also as someone else mentioned, the straight draw was there from the flop. And also what was said before...Chit happens.:icon_mrgr

I play on pokerstars.com Pretty good site.....Many time I wanted to punch the computer screen. I could never go to the world series of poker......I would end up gettin escorted out for beatin the shit outta someone.

Very true! When people see A or pocket A's they tend to blur out all the other cards on the table. You did the right thing be betting hard on the pre flop to scare her away or hope your AA's hold up but IMO after seeing that flop rainbow 8,9,10 and the turn (A)....I would of check / raised.

Poket aces are good for one thing stealing the blinds, Ill take suited connectors all day. I have lost my ass on aces and kings. Anytime I have poket kings or aces preflop its bet them hard and checks ville till the river unless I trip up on the flop

She was calling big bets with an inside straight draw. the chances of hitting that are HORRIBLE. That sucks. But no sense complaining about bad beats. They happen to everyone. A group of guys I used to play with had a bottle of liquor labeled the "Bad Beat Bottle". When something like that happened you got a drink for consolation :)

Yeah, I did see the strait, and if I tried to check-raise she would have just checked, thats all she does, check or call.

Also, I honestly didnt think anyone would hold Q,3 to the river. And any of you who say you would hold that, let's play some poker, I need to make some money!

I've lost on Ak WAYYYYY more times than AA, honestly if you prefer Ak to AA, you are crazy.

From what it looks like, you guy's were heads up...You got to play a Q-3...8,9,10 comes on the flop, you bet I will chase a straight...

im pretty sure greektown has a bad beat pool where if you get beat with a full house they pay you a quater of the pool, the guy that beat you a quater of the pool and everyone at the table gets the remainder, but ya me too, i wouldnt havent stayed in after the flop. i never liked internet poker compared to the real deal.
