Captain Slow
Went all last winter sliding around town on the stock GTO tires...got stuck multiple times, almost died a couple of times. All that time I had a second set of winter wheels with almost brand new Blizzacks that I had used on the MS3. I knew the wheels wouldn't fit the GTO (different bolt pattern), and thought they were 16s, so I didn't think they'd fit on the stock GTO rim. I looked at them this weekend and they are actually 17s :banghead: They'd fit perfectly on the GTO wheel (a little narrower than the stock tire, but still fine). I could have avoided a lot of shit last winter if I would have taken 10 seconds to actually look at the tire

Oh well...this winter should be much less stressful!

You're crazy!! I almost killed myself twice last year around Thanksgiving. Damn Shepherd on ramp -.-.
At least you have tire now :)

Dummy. I had a set of track wheels (stock 17s) from my old car but just sold them a month or so ago. You could have had them cheap.

06GTO 17" Blizaks passing suv's in the fast lane on the freeway with snow falling heavy. I tell guys all the time these tires are to snow what a slick is to the track.

I did almost the same thing with a door for my Buick. I needed a passenger door. I spent weeks looking at for sale ads, emailed and called peolpe all over the country looked at pictures, couldnt find anything.....

I was doing something in my garage, moved a box and found a perfect rust free passenger door. I thought the whole time it was a drivers door.

Dummy, there's no such thing as a rust free Buick drivers door. Shoulda known better lolSo do you guys run front snow tires as well? I've been really debating driving my 2wd silverado all winter but don't want to get stuck. It's just that my Cherokee is dissolving

You've got to turn and stop, not just go. I'd do all 4. Hell, I'd say doing all 4 is even less necessary on a FWD than a RWD and still did all 4 on the Cobalt.

If you only do snow tires on the front two on a FWD car, the ass end will slide out when turning. I think next year I am buying an extra set of steelies and some blizzaks for my cobalt.

Ive been eyeballing a set of snow tires on craigslist for a few weeks.. Yesterday it dawned on me that the location and description were all too familiar.. Could they be my cousins?? Checked the cell number... yup.. my cousin has what I am looking for.. Send him a text saying, "dude i'll come grab those snow tires from you tomorrow.."

He sold them friday... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFfffffffffffFFFFFFFFFF!!!

haha snooze you lose on the craigslist..

Dude, it's a truck, load the box with weight and go. Half the time I just shovel the snow into my box even tho it's 4x4 and go. That thing hauls in 4x2, and when it's in 4x4 it's SICK.
