Any HVAC guys in the Clinton Twp. area that can do a AC recharge that are reasonable? Not looking to spend $100 for a service call charge then labor and materials just to top off the refrigerant. I just replaced a bad capacitor and two fuses, and the AC isn't cooling the house off, so i assume that the refrigerant is low, since the fan and compressor are both running fine now, and the furnace is blowing mildly cool air throughout the house, but not cold enough.

Just ent through all this... 905$ for a new dry charge unit.... Last month it cost me 200$ for a new fan motor..... Then it just shit out Subday night. My buddy says the compressor most likely grounded out as it blew the 2 30amp-250v fuses.. I replaced them and it poped right away.

Hopefully you don't have a leak.

Well I just paid $605 to have this done. Kinda. $200 for install and 45 a pound for Freon which was a rip. I could have bought Freon for $12 a pound but I needed 30#. You could also try Craigslist. Anyways I have 2 names for you.

Thanks for all the help guys, i got it taken care of...thank goodness. AC works and wife and kids are happy again.
