That's what they attempted to do when they tried to steal my Taurus. Were going to shove it to a side street with a minivan. Didn't manage to get it in neutral though, just ripped the shifter out of the center stack.
 
I look at 2-3 of these theft recoveries a week. Basically the same estimate every time, Window, stereo wheels, bumper. Its more annoying than anything they never damage them even close to being a total.
 
i tow cars and truck like this every day, u couldent beleave what they do, i towed this guys cadillac 3 times in 2 months he put 200 mile on it in between the last time they did it he gave it back to the dealer and got a used car, never heard from him again
