How to get historic plates? 1985 mustang

That plate gets renewed every year. My dad was a Oakland County Deputy, his car had one too. There were never any issues. It has a registration and all.

Then its not a authentic or antique plate. They get renewed every 10 years. The old blue plates or the older black plates do not show up in the police system. They are legally registered but do not come up when a officer runs the plate.

Mine has a vanity plate. I’ve had it for years.

That looks to be just a vanity plate. Not a historical plate. Vanity plates are the same as a normal plate.

Correct. My old 72 truck had a 1972 “M” plate on it. As far as I know, Carl still has that plate on it.

That shouldn't have been allowed, 72 should have been 71 with a sticker.

Just depends on who you get at the SOS.
