For comparison it took me a while to sell this 89 GT for 5500, and it was mint inside and out. No rust, dings, dents, etc.

Not to be a dick but 3500 was more than you'll probably get for it. Rust in those areas is going to cause a lot of problems and turn down a lot of potential buyers.
Just an update.
So I removed the Cobra wheels and tires, aluminum driveshaft, all the rear suspension, Optima red top, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 24lb injectors, 77mm Maf, Steeda shifter and replaced the parts with stock ones and removed the Hood struts, Autometer guages and sold it all for $2200 then put the car up for $3500 and sold it in a few days. Even if you say all that stock stuff was worth $700 then I still got $5000 for the car and I actually sold it to a guy who appreciated all the parts I put into it unlike the cheap asses who think my car was only worth $2500. Just the wheels and tires along with the trans cost me $3000.
Im just looking for some ball park guesstimates. I wont be offended

I wouldn't have paid $5.00 for a mustang but that's why I stayed out of the thread the first time :laugh:You could have probably parted out the ENTIRE car and made even more money. It doesnt change the fact that the car still didnt sell for 4500 with or without the mods. THe "cheap asses" were people who were correct on what the car would sell for

That is the downfall of cars, the parts cost way more than you'll ever get back out of them. Going off your logic, since my $800 car has $4,000 worth of chassis work and say $1000 in suspension, the car should be worth $6000 as a roller. In reality, I'd be lucky to get scrap prices for it.Just an update.
