how does test & tune work on sat and sundays at milan?

since they dont have T&T on fridays anymore how does it work with all of those other classes they run all day? cause i went on a sunday a couple years ago and only got two passes in the whole day so it was a waste of my time.

You're lucky you got two. I went with my friend a couple years ago to run his RX7. We got there in the AM and he had to leave for work at 4pm. He did not get a single run in and when he went in and told them in the office that he didn't get to run and had to leave for work they refused to give him a refund or even a pass for another day to come and run his car.

Money down the toilet.

Wow Im used to the Waiting BS but they have always given a regular day pass if I didnt get on the track for whatever reason.

It may have had to do with the fact that he was leaving early for work and that had he stayed he may have been able to run.

I remember though he asked the guy a couple times (we were there for probably 5 hours or so) how it worked. They were calling brackets or something. I didn't really pay attention nor understand it but they kept calling bracket numbers and they kept telling him "We're calling your bracket soon." Hours later he's like "Well I have to go now for work." They said "We're about to call your bracket." He was like "But I have to go can I get a refund?" The guy said "No refunds." So he asked if he could get a pass to come back cause he paid to race and didn't get to. Guy said "Well we'll be calling your bracket soon, I can't give you a pass."

And they assured him at the gate that he would be able to run because he did ask. I don't recall it being that busy either. It was strange but I think there was some kind of event cause I saw the same cars make several passes. The details are blurry but yeah I ended up staying with my other friends and I don't think they ended up calling his bracket number for a couple more hours. I txted him later and told him they just now called his bracket.

It was at a time when I remember a lot of people complaining about new management or something. Apparently one of the guys was a dick. I don't know, I never dealt with anybody and haven't run my car since 04 and that was Race Warriors. Got one run in but the place was PACKED. HUNDREDS of cars it felt like, I was shocked to get a run in. That was an awesome time.
 
Private rental is the only way to go. Get in on someone else's or do your own with a small group. The Rocky's rentals were always awesome for testing because it was all the Friday heads-up cars testing and it started early enough that the masses could not attend. Plus the entry fee was higher as well ($100). Do they still do the Rocky's rentals deal?

Yes they still do them. 2PM - 8 PM on the Thursday before the Friday heads-up race.
 
man still sounds like a pain in the ass, dont know why they canceled the fridays, but i went to lapeer for the first time a couple weeks ago, dont really want to go back there.
 
Do you know if there's a minimum amount of people required for a rental? Do you also know what is cost to rent the track for a few hours? Know a small group of people looking for a rental without all the race car guys getting in and judging them.

To answer the OP's question: Yes, this is how test & tune works on sat and sundays at milan.
 
I called milan about doing my own rental recently and it was like $2500 up to 40 cars. Haven't had time to organize with the new baby.

I wish we could setup a paypal escrow here on motown, and pick a date. Then when enough people buy in with no refund, we have our own rental.
 
That might be difficult to commit to a rental before you know when the rental will be. Keep me in the loop though as I prefer rentals and don't mind paying for the convenience.
