How do i move to, and work in the US

Silly question, i know, but i need some tips on how i should go about it. Has anyone else here done what im about to do? I've been educating myself for a while and i know that a place of work should be my first priority. How in h**l am i going to find work in the US when im chilling in Sweden? I have a masters degree in accounting, three years of experience. But i need ways to enter the country, legally of course. So please...help! =)

PS. Alongside with the bird, i've gotten myself a Volvo..hey im swedish ;P But it's packing some power. Started its life as a standard S70 T5, 240 hp. I replaced the fuel pump, fuel injectors, exhaust system, fuel pressure regulator, and got it properly tuned by a famous swedish firm...311 hp =) It wont be a match for the f-body, but long faces on those who think its a quiet family car!

any relative living in the states? Get a visit visa then find a woman to marry you here. Then look for work.

The US still look good for jobs from over there? The picture sure was different in 1994 when I moved here... :lol:
 
Wait you live in Sweden and want to come to the US??? WTF is wrong with you? lol Isn't an ugly chick in Sweden like a 9 here?
 
A lot of the big contract agencies can place you here with a work Visa. Aerotek comes to mind, but they pay like shit with no benefits. You can come here as a tourist for a few months and look for a job too.

I suggest you find a Swedish company that is here in the US and get them to hire you. They would normally pay for a work visa for you. It's kind of a win win. They get a Swedish person to move to the US for them, and you get to move here on their cost.

And your job would be pretty secure I imagine because it always seems if you are of the nationality of the company you work for they will do more to secure your job.

I have a lot of German friends that are here this way.

I recommend that you take a plane. The swim would probably kill you. ;)
Where in Sweden are you from? I spent a week in Trollhättan, teaching Swedes how to pretreat aluminum many years ago. Nice place, but getting dark in the middle of the afternoon sucks.
