How Did They Know?

So, my Father died at 45 in 1972, the day I got out of Viet Nam. How did someone get his name and attach it to mine? I mean he passed away nearly 40 years ago. Everything else in the "E" mail is wrong of course, including the date he passed away on. The thing is they used my real name instead of Dearest Sir or Madam. Just wondering, that is all.....

I'm so tired of thee kind of e-mails. The amount that the spam blocker actually stops is remarkable, but there's always a few that get by.

What's amazing is that there are people who fall for this sort of thing.

I am also very tired of them, and typically don't read them. It was that it had my name in the title and my Father's name in the body of the "E" mail. I was just wondering where the connection was made with the names, since my Father is so far removed from everything. I am not sure if he ever had a real credit card. He passed away before the dawning of computerized information....
