How COLD do you keep your home?

In the summer, how cold do you keep your house in the SUMMER??

This really irks me quite a bit and i dont know why.. but i think it's a from an irrational thinking standpoint.

On top of posting what temp you keep it at, who here has it set warmer in the winter than in the summer???

SO, all of you 72 degree'ers in the winter, are you 68 degree'ers in the summer?

i dont understand this and i know a few ppl that do this. i have more clothes on in the winter, i dont want to have the temp warmer in the winter.
 
I'm a 65 degree person in the winter and I will be walking around in shorts in the house. I grew up in the north, so my definition of cold is different then most, like 8 degrees out now is cold, that 20-30 stuff is chilly, lol. In the summer I usually keep it at like 72-75 depending on the dog, if I have the air on at all. I think some people have a hard time keeping their body temperature regulated. Like the people that are constantly checking and adjusting the thermostats, lol.

I'm a cheap ass. I think I usually have it around 72-74 in the summer to go with my 64 in the winter :lol: That's when I even turn the AC on. I only ran it for about a month in 2009.
 
I don't even turn on the A/C in the summer unless we're going above 90 degrees and have lots of humidity.... Otherwise, it's open windows and I love it!!!
 
i'm just saying, when i have jeans and a hoodie on in the winter, i dont want to walk in to/or sit in a place that is warmer than what id want to have shorts and a tshirt on in the summer.
 
Oh man I am such a wuss in the summer.....I am miserable if its too hot in my house!! I run the A/C like ALL SUMMER. I keep it around 68-70, nice and cool. It usually runs all summer long, unless we have a nice breezy low humidity day. Then it feels good to have the windows open lol.
 
I had the air on maybe 4 days last year, house has 2 walls that are all windows plus Im on a hill above the other houses and get a breeze of the lake. Shit blows off the counter all day
 
I have no ac at all so how cool my house is in the summer depends on outside temps :lol: If its really that hot of a day we just head down the the river/lake take a swim or take the boat out.
 
Only ran the air for a week or two last summer and it was set at 75. When it's near 90 outside and you come into 75 with no humidity it feels pretty good. Other then high 80's or 90's I'm too cheap to run the air since my house gets a nice cross breeze.
 
Wife and I constantly battle on this one.

If she has her way it is 73 or 72 - Winter and basically the same for Summer with Air on.

My way (and the kids) it would be 67 or 68 all the time! We are warm blooded!
 
I use to run the AC from Spring to late Fall - nonstop!

Now I run it only when it hits the upper 80's. I keep
it around 75 degrees.
 
As a side note. I ran my A/C at 50 degrees until I left for vacation on Dec 16th. When I left I just turned it to off.
 
Keep it colder then a witches titty in a brass bra, if you dont know how cold that is then you cant afford it lol.
