Hotside Choices??

Hey guys looking for your input. I want to throw a turbo on my truck (Gen III 6.0L-Gen IV heads). I have the beginnings of a DIY w/crossover, stock manifold. OR I could buy a kit. There is this one made of thick steel or a very similar one made with SS.
Pics provided

the way I see the DIY set up is the pipe follows over the manifold and it bolt'd to it using the heat shield holes then merge and connect to the manifold using the flange.

the kit is strightforward.
these both position the trubo oppsite the alternator near the air box.

Any advise (besides saving my $$) would be great...and help kill some of these winter blues.

I was looking at master power turbos...T4, they have a 76mm Q trim out now??

I was also throwing around the JY route and getting a T6 from a Det Diesel...but am leaning toward the T4.

I know my DIY one looks l;ike crap, but its my first attempt :)
the manifold is forward facing, the crossover comes up where the old manifold used to exit and runs along the top of the cast exhaust manifold, I would wrap it when I was done. it would then merge with the forward facing manifold, then a bit higher would be the flange.

I had my 5 year old helping me make a T4 flange BUT my dumb butt printed one that was not to scale and when I transfered it to the plate, it was too small...so I still have to make the flange, if I finish it that way.

I guy I know was telling me to run a S400 BW (I think) but the cost is a bit much.

A small hotside s400 series turbo might work ok on a stockish 6.0. Are you more concered with Power or spool up ?

I had mike built the stall kind of lose (3200) to help a little lag down low.

only lokking to push 10psi high and run 5 low. I know my pistons wont like more than 10...I will have meth too.

a small hotsided s400 would be perfect. it would be a t4 hotside and a s400 75mm compressor. I would have to converse with my sales rep to figure the best compromise of spool and Hp.
