All happening here in the Midwest this year Sept 11-16. National Trail (3 days), Norwalk, Indy, & Martin. Going out to Martin on Wednesday to check it out. 6 second 250 mph street cars should be fun to watch along with all the rest of the cars. The engineering involved to make these cars fast and reliable is incredible. The cruise from Norwalk to Martin should also be wild if you happen to catch a glimpse of it. Could be in our area (23 & 94).

Be interesting to see if anyone can get in the 5's this year.

I'm still waiting for an alcohol funny car to show up at drag week.

it sold out in 17 minutes they said... I might run to norwalk to spectate and also Kzoo.. Should be fun seeing a few fast cars cruising here and there. Thought about camping at one of the tracks but didnt call to verify if they allow it. Its not really a spectators race but that doesnt make it any less awesome to me. Oh and the racers have to hit specific stops so they cant just cruise 55mph on highways, from what i read anyways. If anyone goes, give me a shout through PM.

Racing sold out quickly. spectating will probably be $10, anyone can spectate. I expect it to be a ghost town in the bleachers though.

There is no way spectating will sell out.. This race is a blip on the motorsports radar. Race spots were sold out but I read some people are on a waiting list. You cant just enter for one track, it is a 5 track race. 3 passes at all 5 tracks. (4 tracks really but race twice at Columbus.).

awesome day of spectating and getting sun friiiied! There are some fast cars there, not many Unlimited entries like the entry list says.Jeff Lutz seems to have not much competition, he ran a 6.25 @ 240+. Maybe a lot of the big hitters broke at the first track?? Saw some bad broken parts that looked u fixable but they were fixed and the racers made passes after repair. One racer broke a PG input shaft and found one in the pits. Repaired and on track a few minutes before close. The IROCZ pulled 24mpg roundtrip!

Berry didn't go due to him wanting to spend time with his daughter starting a new school. Bailey fragged a motor, Larson was on the roster but didn't show up.

That's all I know as of now.

I just got home after hanging out at a hotel full of Drag Week guys and, i really want to do it next year, at least as a spectator. The environment is really friendly and down to earth.

Yep, I agree...
It was an awesome event to attend just watching.
Track was running just about all day, no huge issues.
Weather was perfect!
