Ken,
Which compound are those? Hoosier's answer was "They just do that"? Sounds like BS to me. How many heat cycles were on them?

They were the A3S05, they claim that why the redesigned them for 06, I kind of knew that but was being cheap and I thought they would last three events.

They saw a warm up lap, 8 timed laps on Sat, 10 laps on Sunday 3 and 7 then 4 timed laps before I noticed the cords. Tire temps were never above 145

All the timed laps were single laps not consecutive

Ken are you still using 3rd in the infield? If so are you on the limiter before the hill and on the back straight? On the limiter in 4th on the main straight?

Also, is that 1 min 27 sec, or avg speed of 127mph?

I just hit the limiter going into the jump, I tap the brakes at the top of the jump(otherwise I get all 4 wheels off the ground) and am not braking afterwards (with the Hoosiers, not nittos) On the back straight I'm at the limiter about 100 feet earlier than on Nittos, the front straight I don't quite get to the limiter in 4th The best I saw was 136 before braking, normally 134 (From a stop)

It's 87 seconds, average of 127 would be like a 40 second lap :icon_eek:

I have -2 degree I don't think I can get much more, I talked with Hoosier and they said those tires did that and offered me $50 off :bs: a new A6 which was redesigned to fix that problem. Temps were warmer on the inside.

Hows the Toe ???? looks like toe in wear. Got a squirmy control arm or loose tie rod ? I know a few guys running SCCA with what i think is the same hoosier tire I know the size is the same i don't know about the compound though. they say they get around 4-6 races out of a set depending on the track.

The alignment is right on, we set it on a rack a few weeks ago

With all the road racing you due you might have just pounded the hardness out of the rubber by now and the control arm is squirming on turn in.Also might wanna check the Rack bushing. I have seen it split under hard driving cuasing all kinds of screwy tire wear issues. wouldn't hurt to check them out. Try prying on the control arm with a pry bar. If it move more then a 1/4 inch or so it might be time for fresh bushings. Just passing random thoughts. I do see lots of front end issues though being its about 50% of the work we do here thanx to michigans lovely roads. and with -2* of camber i would expect the inboard edge of the tire to wear more. How much caster do you have in the alignment ? again that should only affect inboard tire wear though?

or just have the track paved in velcro. and apply velcro to the carcuses:icon_mrgr

Thank god the aliens gave us velcro:badass:

You are killing me!
Your car hit faster top speeds at the end of the front stretch then ours and it was only 130mph for a few seconds.
You would have to be doing 250mph the entire straight to equal an average speed of 127!:icon_eek:

I thought about that for a second after and realized how unfeasable that would be but I cannot edit anything using this browser doh!
