Hooking up power seats in a third gen?

Scooped some 4th gen seats last night, and the drivers side is power. How do I hook up the driver seat when my third gen didn't have power seats?

Even if your car didn't come with power seats chances are the wiring harness is tucked under the carpet.

Right on. I'll check that out whenever I get around to putting them in. What if the harness is not there? Any other way? I assume just a basic power and ground wire? I suck with anything electrical. :lol:

Power and ground should do it.. its been a while, but i put power 4th gen seats in my old 3rd gen but mine already had power seats.

If I get time today maybe I'll tear my old seats out and look for the harness under the carpet. If not, guess I will just run the power wire into the fuse box and ground the ground wire where the seat bolts in.

I have power seats in my '85 GT.

Nice. I'll report back later about this. I think I will put them in the car after I get home from class in a few hours. The Camaro will be back on the road this summer (and still slow as hell).

4th gen seats have self contained switchs so all that should be needed is power and ground.
