so I am starting to finish our basement,fully studded,insulated,drywall,bathroom,wet bar. you get the picture a lot of $$$$.

So I find a Fingerle Lumber ad online with some prices of Lumber and take it to the Home Depot, show the M.O.D and ask if they will match the price and beat it by 10% like the signs say in the store, he gets kinda defensive and says I will so it this time but never again and proceeds to tell me that Home Depot does not have to beat the price and if I would like he will go in the office and show me the manual.I tell him at that point I will probably spend thousands and he tells me I have contractors that spend 100's of thousands

WTF the way the economy is you think these would love to have money rolling in the door.

I leave Home Depot and go to Lowes talk to M.O.D and ask him what he thinks , he tells me no problem at all and will be happy to help me on my entire project, tells me to stop by tomorrow night so he can introduce me to the lumber Mgr.

I agree, I end up at Lowe's like 95% of the time. Must be that time of the year, I'm working on my basement too.
 
I am finishing my basement and went to Lowes for some things and they had the 2x4x8's I needed for the studs and I bought a few to get started. Their studs weren't very straight, I had a rough time picking out some of the straighter ones but even those weren't all that straight. I went to home depot and not only were they 100% straight, they were also a little cheaper.

All customer service sucks most of the time. Make sure you tell their managers manager (store manager) because most of the time when you complain to the department manager they're all buddies and are laughing at you together when you leave.
 
I generally use HD, I don't care for the Lowe's here. I'd send an email to HD and tell them what happened, what store and the guys name if you remember what it was.

Does Lowes offer 6 months interest free on purchases of $299 or more?

well now that i have nothing going on depending on where you live if you need any extra hands let me know ill just be sitting around lol
