Hogan's passenger

as bad as it is, it's hard to feel bad for someone who put them self in that situation.

high power car, wet roads, 17yr old with bad driving history, had been drinking, no seat belt... i'm not saying he deserves that, but he put himself in that situation.

My feeling exactly. But Nick should be punished.

stupid things happen to people who make stupid choices... he chose to get into a car with a 1.young 2.drunk 3.terrible driver in a 4.fast car... he made those choices

he went to jail... which is more than a friend of mine who put his friend in the same position... my friend was 19 driving 85mph down vandyke and hit and flipped a yukon with his cutlass... his friend died four times on the way to u of m and is not blind and cant hear out of one of his ears... my friend got a drunk driving ticket and thats it

That's tough to watch. We all have made bad choices in life it's too bad that's how he ended up.

sueing the hogan family for THAT much is bullshit. a lawsuit is inevidable(sp?) but you have to think about the situation. every single one of us have been in a "hot", powerful, drag, etc...car with one of our buddies and done something stupid. i am very confident that the guy in the passenger seat wasnt begging nick to slow down or let him out of the car. he was riding shotgun in a 800-1000hp turbo car. he was having a blast. could he control wether he was in a wreck or not. no. he couldnt. which is why i think a lawsuit is justified. but ruining the entire family because of a mistake the son made being 17 in a fast car, is BULLSHIT if you ask me. i feel bad for the guy. but they make it sound like nick pushed him into the car locked the door and ran into the first lightpole he saw. come on.

All Hogans have to say is that Nick said he didnt feel like racing and the friend egged him on

WTF!!! Why keep someone alive in that state? That is no quality of life. Thats just cruel to not let the kid keep his dignity. Shit, did that video ever bum me out, very hard to view that. What a shame. Nick should have been that guy.

Looks a lot better in second video. In the first video, I would have said no way will he ever recover even any where near what the second video shows. As for what restitution has to be paid. If they were not street racing that would be one thing. But since they were in fact street racing, it falls to the driver. And since he is a licensed professional driver he is completely responsible regardless. He should have thought about his actions before racing. And the other kid should have known better. Now both are paying, I'd say Hogans kid is getting the better end of the deal honestly.

Pretty disturbing stuff. The same result could have happened had he been in a low speed accident without his seat belt.

The report says he'll need 24 hour per day care for the rest of his life. No quality of life whatsoever for anyone involved.

As bad as it might be to say, it probably would have been better to die on impact.

Kinda makes you wounder if the second video is real and the first is fake. Eather way you cant poke and who's fault it was. When you get in your friends car its your choice thou.
