High amp alternator rebuild?

Does anyone know a shop in the SE or Mid-MI area that can do high amp alternator rebuilds. My alternator right now is, I believe, 70 amps which isn't cutting it. I'm looking at going like 200+ with confirmed numbers/birth sheet, not just the "Yea, it should do about 250 amps when I finish building it" scenario. I've found a couple places online that build a 270 amp for my car, but I'm not about to shell out $700 for a new alternator because that just seems nutty.
