Hey Walmart lovers... you can thank Walmart for the new debit card fees.

every business loses money dealing with CCs and debits, its around 30 cents per transaction plus 3-5 percent of the sale depending on the card. we are a small restaurant and we end up losing a nice sized house payment every month in fees. Price of doing business I guess, but it sucks. It is funny that people come in and say "well if my dumb ass carries cash around I spend it all", Ok, so you have a card on it with a 5000 dollar limit at least right, do you spend all of that?

If you don't get a cash discount (like a gas station), how is it you pay more for your food by using credit? Everyone pays more, including the people who pay cash.

Exactly. If some people are gong to do it you might as well too. Why subsidize others by paying cash?

i have to use my debit card because im in the military and its direct deposit only. my closest bank branch is over 300 miles away... i get cash back like 1-2 times a month... because ATM fees are stupid everywhere... my bank doesnt charge but all the ATM's charge a service fee.... shit is so damn lame.
