As soon as I have some extra cash, maybe in the spring, I'd like to get my truck tuned. It's got the lifetime warranty still...I don't want to go past the point of no return(i.e. supercharger) until I can afford to say screw it

I would like to see what it'll do on 17s with a just tune. Guys are having all kinds of issues with the canned Diablo tunes, and even some of the other custom mail order versions. I'm definitely gonna do it local.

maggies can get warranty, if installed by them and using their tune. easy 12 sec truck.

3 years/36k right? Or something like that?

I've got the lifetime warranty on the powertrain of the Ram. I figure I shouldn't do much until either our government and Chrysler go under, or I can afford both the go fast goodies and the long term costs

I'm thinking I could sniff the 12s with a lot less. 13.7 on 20s, full weight, with absolutely nothing done to it...maybe just a dyno tune and 17s would get me into the low 13s.

right, like a less-practical pickup truck?

you want practical and "fast"? try a car next time.

What exactly is practical about a 2wd 2-seater pickup truck? Especially in Michigan.

Uhm. I've owned a few 2wd 2-seat pickups in Michigan, and I loved them. Easier to drive around town, I can haul things just fine, a proper tire allows you to drive in snow with EASE, less to maintain compared to 4WD......cheaper, more fuel efficient...looks good... Don't have to worry about people asking for rides because you can only seat 2....

I can ask the same thing about the practicality of a FWD V8... Different strokes for different folks. If we we're all looking for "practicality" we'd be driving diesel 4-seater hatchbacks, Chevy Metro's, and hybrids.... but surely an eyetalian cannot be seen in such a vehicle.
