Attempted Money grab story of today.. I had MSP commercial vehicle enforcement checking the play in my tierods....I have a 2015 Duramax.. REALLY MSP.!?! No charges luckily...Thank you officer.

But then how do you punish a old person who's skills and reaction time are about that of a drunk driver?

You punish the effect not the cause. If someone swerves into oncoming traffic because they are playing with Tinder on their phone or if they just have shitty vision because they are old I really don't care why - the punishment should be consistent.

I live in an area that has a -lot- of old people .. It's frightening how shitty their driving is. I've seen everything from backing up in traffic to blowing red lights to driving right into parking other cars in parking lots.
