Help my wife win a contest!

(your first sentence) I know I don't post here much, but I do lurk and read and watch the good things motown has to offer...

tell us what you have read on motown and what good things motown has to offer ......

and ill go vote...lol
I can start off with the videos and photos, I love cars and love well done cars, you have a few here. There are some things that pop up now and again in the for sale section. The pub section, some funny stuff goes on, threads from other forums and it is Michigan based, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better exceed whatever that site is. Is it even around anymore? Also I am been here since 05, I don't get to do much posting and all my fun toys are gone now because of family obligations (child #3 forced the sale of both of daddy's two door cars :( ), so I have to keep up one way or another since I can't work on my own tihngs. Once all the kids are older and we dont' have daipers, formula and day care to pay for, i will be back in action, but family comes first, so I made my sacrafices and wouldn't trade my kids for any car....unless it was black, turbo'd and running street legal 8s.... j/k... lol

Feel sorry for me yet???

I am still waiting for someone to post what needs they have of your wife. I am sure there could be a list made pretty quickly.:boobies:

And yes she has my vote, but nothing I can do about it. Facebook wise. I guess you have to have an account to vote.
I guess I don't have her needs either, but oops I must have been think "need nudes" so the next oppurtunity she is in the shower or taking a bath I could just make it look like I am text messaging, but instead just taking pictures with the flash off... good thinking!

Cars and kids can coexist. Sell your DD for a mid 50's to mid 60's station wagon. Chevy's would be your best bet because even the wagons are well supported. Lower the car a little, put some nice wheels on it and it's instantly cool. What a little more power? Put an LSX engine in it along with an 4L60 and the gas mileage won't be that bad.

Trust me, I have tried. I have tried to convince my wife into a late 70's early 80's fairmont and doing a JY 5.3 with a turbo. It would make great power and could still acheive 30mpg on the highway if tuned right, but she claims they are too ugly. I have a 03 DTS now, so i do have my V-8 power and some luxary, but it is screaming for some window tint, some borla mufflers to sound throaty and a train horn underneath it since I get people pulling out in front of me all the time because they think I am a old man.

My other plan was to take her N* SRX apart and find a banged up STS-V or XLR-V and get the heads, lower, blower and drop that on her SRX, with a exhuast, intake, pulley swap and tune it would have been a AWD 7 seater powerhouse, but no that got veto'd too. My wife thinks tinkering with DD's is a bad idea but she doesn't like the fact that fun costs money, lol

There are a couple of local wagons that I'd love to have. One is a '64 Pontiac Catalina in white with 8-lug aluminum wheels, and the other is a '68 Chevy Impala wagon in Marina blue with a 327. The Impala has the windows tinted, has A/C and has factory rally wheels. Both are cool looking cars.

I tried finding a Carpice Wagon or Buick roadmaster, a R1 procharger would wake it up nicely :) lol I do agree though, we need a classic family hauler, I would be good with a Nomad but I am sure the wife would say it is ugly. She wants another T/A but it has to seat 5, yes I gave her the look when she said that, I am working her on a G8, hopefully that will go through :)

Think cruiser. Forget about the superchargers, turbochargers, etc. A 5.3L with some 6.0L and LS6 mods (cheap) and you'll have over 400HP. Don't think drag car. Thing car show and road trip car (like Route 66). The '55 Chevy above would be perfect.

Thats the hard part, i think big. If I did procharge something it would be a D1, that way I could just unbolt things, and it is back to stock. My worry with the 55 chevy is to find one in decent shape will be pricey or to find one I could pay cash for would need a lot of work!
