Help building sub box for Fox Hatchback

I mean ummmm I would think a non-ported box would sound best in a hatch back there is to much air space for a ported box. In a notch def ported box..

actualy ported will play louder in anything just about. sealed will give more control and allow more room for tuneing error.

I have a ported box in their right now and it sounds good.. So i think imma try and build it the way you told me.. Thanks for all the helpful info..:rockwoot:

There is no real need for a ported box in a hatchback. The shape of the car acts as an amplifier itself. Best bet would be to use the spare tire well as your location. build a small sealed box there, expanding outwards as needed, proceed to make a false floor so it looks right, then put the amps, and such in there.

boxes are not that hard to make, just get a tape measure and a pad of paper, lay it out measure it out and design it out right. get all the supplys, hell if cutting the wood is an issue im pretty sure lowes will cut it for you if you ask.

who knows you may take a good liking to it, not to mention its awesome to say you built it your self.

not to take anything away from aim it sounds like you do some pretty awesome work.

I will not put any stereo in my Fox. I have built a few false floor set ups for my past cars, and other fiberglass set ups for them, and others as well.
