PINE RIVER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - (08/10/16) - A 43-year-old central Michigan man has been killed after the snowmobile he was riding crashed into a garage in Gratiot County.
The Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant reports Tuesday that the man was cleaning and working on two snowmobiles Sunday when he decided to ride one of them around his Pine River Township yard.
Gratiot County Sheriff Doug Wright says "for some unknown reason the machine travelled at a high rate of speed into the garage and struck the second machine and wall."
The man was thrown from the snowmobile.
