Hello Again, New car...

It has been awhile since I have been here...and even then I wasn't around much.

Say hello to my 2013 Camaro SS/1LE

1LE package = ZL1 Wheels, wheel bearings, axles, Z06 trans, 3:91 gear, bigger swaybars (than ss) Unique Monotube rear shocks, Oil separator, revised trans/engine coolers, Alcantara Steering wheel/ shift knob, Strut tower brace, chin spoiler, hood warp matte black from the factory.....ect.

She is still bone stock with the addition of only Motul 600 Brake fluid and some cosmetic mods (removed badges, smoked corners.) I had her on Grattan with 3 Balls a few weeks back and she turned 1000K on the track. She has already been to the drag strip and the dyno.

Bone stock:
-Seven runs at 13.0x....and one 12.991. (I bet I can hit at least a 12.8, maybe a .7 @ Milan and will try another time)
-Grattan 1:31.47 (Corvette GS runs 1:30.2 with pro driver....not bad for 500lbs heavier)
-Mustang Dynamometer: 396whp / 374 ft-lbs (Some revisions were made to the LS3 and are all coming in (385 - 405ish)....GM didn't re-cert the LS3 so they are still listed as 426hp.)

This will be a road course /track toy/weekend (not a caged race car). I will use it on the track when I instruct.

See you out there,
Matt

(Previous car was the black/black wingless Evo set-up for NASA TTS class and ran 11.3 @ 122)

Thanks....Yes very different, but after 20 years I came full circle. I had in the early 90s I had a 86 5.0L Firebird and an 87 Formula 350. This time I wanted a domestic, 6 speed, RWD, V8 and it had to have a rear seat. I looked a the GT 5.0 track pack and the Boss 302. I went with the 1LE because it is faster on the track than a Boss 302 Laguna Seca and $20K less.

Love that color. don't get to see much new stuff up here in the sticks of Northern Michigan. Looks really nice, hope you enjoy it. Me=Envious. :(

Awesome ride. The gear ratio and suspension tweaks on that car make it a pretty amazing ride over the original car.

I will not be there Saturday: I may try to make a cameo on Sunday.

I'll be there all weekend. Bring my plate.

Thanks, I am really happy with how it feels....I drove a 2010 Firebreather (ss w/blower) on Bull Run (NY to Vegas) and then another 2011 SS in AZ last year and said I would never buy one. The 1LE package changes the car completely, something like 8 seconds a lap difference on GMs road course.

I wonder if this was the one I was molesting before delivery, where did you get it? ;)

Doubt it....was not from the area and I am friends with the sales manager so it had eyes on it.

It is in the trunk....I will have it if I make it there.

Bad ass car, congrats! I would enjoy a red one (with a red hood). Glad to see you are enjoying the car.

Thanks....that is one of the reasons I went with the Ashen Grey Metallic...to hide the matte black hood a little. The factory wrap pulls off and it is painted under it. A couple of 1LE guys have done this.
