Cliff notes: GT went 222 mph in the standing mile, Viper went 212mph but was having ABS issues. Gary is a tremendous driver and drove the Viper (his own) and the GT (a friends).
 
He didn't crash, but he did lose control and go off track at about 120. The car actually had no damage, so lucky there.

The guy that owns the car called me right after it happened, and he was pretty bitter, but he got over it. The car got just as many chips from the dirty ass runway as it did from the dirt excursion. I guess the left side got on the painted strip and lost traction and when it got back on concrete it slingshotted off the runway. The driver is a killer driver, so I can't blame him that much. A friend of mine in TX had a nasty TT Viper that had never run better than mid-9s and the guy who drove the GT cracked off an 8.6@163 on his first pass in it (6 speed). If you can drive an 8 second 160+mph 6-speed Viper, a GT that goes mid 150's is cake.
 
hell yeah. the video itself was awesome. not to mention the footage in it. awesome song that fit perfectly with the vid too!!


those cars are freakin bad.
