Heater core replacement

One of the pipes came out of the heater core on my '97 Mustang. Any chance that JB Weld or something else will hold it back in place? I don't want to rremove the dashboard, console, the AC lines, etc. to replace the POS. Since it's on a convertible that's barely driven can I cap off the line or reroute it so antifreeze doesn't run through the core?

Just connect the lines together bypassing it.

after you loop the lines, make sure you blow the core out, real low PSI
