Health Insurance Help Please

Basically I have Tricare through the Michigan Army National Guard and I want to go to the a general care physician for a check up. However, I live in Kalamazoo, I am new to this insurance company (only had it for four or five months) and there way of searching for doctors is wierd.

I use to have Insurance with blue cross of texas just under three years ago and I am thinking of going back to them but am a little scared of the prices.

What other companies are out there that have a decent selection of doctors that accept the insurance and...

I am totally confused about the DEDUCTIBLES. If it says my deductible is $1000 does that mean the insurance company does not start coming out of pocket until I have paid them $1000? Does that mean when I go for an office visit I have to pay for everything and they cover nothing?

I can get you Humana or assurant. Even blue cross if you wanna drop all that coin. BCBS is probably your best choice, but humana and assurant do individual underwriting so they can insure you for much less.

And health deductibles aren't like car deductibles. You'll have your copay, and they will pay the bulk of your bill for visits and treatment, but once you reach your deductible, the insurance company will pay 100% and you will pay nothing. That's how it works.
 
i have a guy that works at National Benefit Plans real good prices.
for me my wife and daughter at my wifes work they wanted around 700-735 a mounth and my buddy got me in for all the same shhhtuff for around 309 a month. his e-mail address is [email protected] you can get ahold of him and he will drive out to you
