Having to pay dealership to turn in a lease?

Hey Motown I know there are a few dealership guys here and I just wanted to make sure everything was kosher with my deal. My lease on my 2014 ram is ending and I'm turning it back in and not leasing something else ( Bought a honda :bsjerk: .) The girl on the phone told me I had a $395 to essentially give the truck back, is this normal, is there a way around it. If it means anything I got it from Sterling Heights Jeep Dodge Ram. Thanks for the clarification guys!

Check your contract carefully - if no such language, then pitch a fit
and don't pay!

And be very careful about signing anything when you do turn it in.

The fee is for real. Bastards. They piss you off the whole time you drive their shit and then won't work with you on an early turn in, but hit ya with an up charge for telling them to go f$&@k them selves when you've had enough. That felt GOOD!! I'm a little bitter.

Chrylser capital lease? If so, yes all of them have a 395 fee. I just paid the same fee.

Lease disposition fee. Standard on Chrysler leases...
Avoid by buying it out, or buying/leasing something new.

Drain the oil, hold the throttle to the floor, fill with oil, tow it to dealer and pay the $395.

That's pretty much how I've been treating it for the past two years. Just kidding but the $395 sucks but oh well definitely not getting another chrysler ( No offense to those that love them.)

That's kind of the problem. If they hooked you up even every now and then I bet leases would get treated better. That's why with Merc and BMW you get full maintenance with every lease included and pamper you to get you back.

A friend's mom had a nice 5 series, it was due for an oil change. They came to her work gave her a loaner 7 series took her car did the maintenance and gave it a quick clean up and brought it back.

You're paying for that one way or another.

You can lease a high end 300 with nothing down for under 300/month. You cannot do that with many other makes, if any. It's one of those you get what you pay for type things.

That's pretty common practice..

Yes the disposition fee is normal. Depending on the bank you go through (Chrysler Capital or Ally). Some banks will waive it if you buy or lease a new vehicle, but some you pay no matter what. It's also the bank charging you that, not the dealership. I don't believe you pay it at the time you turn it in, I think they bill you for it. (I've been out of the domestic cars for a little while now so my memory on it is foggy)

In other words, buy something and then cry like a little bitch and sabotage the product when the bill arrives.
I mean it's a Chrysler...... You have to pay people to take those back.

I had a Jeep Patriot rental on Monday.
I didn't like the sound, the shifting, the lack of a USB port to charge my phone, etc.
There was absolutely nothing I liked about the vehicle.
I've never felt this way about any of my other rental vehicles (Mazda, Nissan, etc )

lower RH corner of the radio, it had a little door over it

Ally Bank?

Yup standard stuff.

I just turned in my 2014 Ram leased through Ally and didn't have a turn in fee. I just released a 2016 Ram through Chrysler Capital and they DO have a turn in fee, unless you lease another vehicle at the time of your turn in.
