When I was in high schoo, I worked at a couple of pet shops, and have witnessed plenty of carnage from such birds. We had a breeder that did business with us...he was missing the tip of his ring finger. There was another lady who was missing an ear lobe...they can really fuck you up if youre not careful!

x2 we had a family pet cackatoo and it only liked my dad. Would hide under its cage and attack our feet when we walked by. Got rid of it after we couldnt get it to stop.
 
my right bicep has 1 tooth puncture scar from a German Shepard when I was little (dog bit me riding my bike!). My dad kicked that fucking dog so hard in the face to let go of me. I still hate those dogs to this day.

Parrots and Cockatoos only bite out of fear or aggression. Aggression either comes from abuse, or a bird with raging hormones. Generally, the aggressive birds see one person as their "mate". Since parrots mate for life, the one they adore the most becomes their mate, so to say. Anybody else is perceived as a threat to the family unit and dealt with accordingly.
 
I got bit by the family dog when I was younger, 7 or 8, still have the scar under my eye. I deserved it. She was a mutt, kinda high strung and I was messing with her when she wanted to be left alone. She never attacked anyone, or bit anyone (just me) She was a good dog. Like I said, I should have left her alone.

I also got bit in the hand by my friend's dog. I was chasing his kids around the yard, the dog was very protective of them and didn't know I was playing. The dog knew me and liked me, just didn't like me chasing the kids. One of them was yelling and screaming, I think that's what did it. He was a lab mix. I don't blame the dog at all. My buddy's wife felt horrible about it, but it was my fault (kinda)
