Have you ever gotten bitten by a dog???

With all the pitbull threads this site has, lets take a poll on what type of dog you have been bitten by!!!
I almost lost an eye to a german sherard malamute mix and also got bit by a black lab mix. Both of these bites were before I was 10 years of age and I did not deserve either. I have owned at least 5 pits in my life and have never been bitten by a pitt!!!!
 
Back when I was younger a Pit on our block killed our neighbors dog. I blame the owners because they use to fight them in their empty pool. (Westland's finest) :shake:
 
I was bitten by a friends German Shepherd back when I was in high school...but thats it.

if it were a pitbull it would have been on fox 2 news. i was bit too and in the hospital for 3 days because of it. still have scars on my hands but it wasnt a pitbull

Hey Johnny do you remember Ken Carter and that blue pit he had "ICE" that dog tried to attack my dog while he was living with me and I jumped in to save my dog. She got ahold of my forearm and I spent a week in the hospital and had surgery cause it got infected.
 
People think pits are bad dogs, its the owners that fight them that make them mean. I have 3 pits 2 females one male. The one female just had pups and never had a problem out our pits. Just the female when she has pups she gets aggresive around her pups but thats her instinct. Just my 2 cents, and i got bit by boxer when i was kid but my buddys german shepard killed it after that happend. Shepards are good dogs but i have heard alot of bite stories about them.
 
I got bit in the leg by a Miniature Pinscher who was just a horrible and evil dog that I hope is long since dead and in hell where she belongs.

Second, I got bit by a Boxer I was fostering while trying to break up a fight instigated by a vicious pit bull mix. I had jumped in to try breaking up the fight & my dog accidentally bit me while trying to fend off the pitbull mix. It took a dozen stitches and I still have a scar across my hand. The pitbull owner was in total denial about his dog. I reported the incident to the city & they put him on notice.

I know there are good Pits out there - but after going to the dog park for a couple of years I have a pretty good idea which breeds are more likely to cause trouble .. and it's generally the pits & pit mixes.
 
when i was a kid my aunt had pomeranians that bit me, mean little bastards. i had a cocker spaniel that bit me once too
 
Back in the day, my grandpa had a Shih Tzu...it bit my grandma on her big toe very hard and drew blood. Poor dog wound up in the glue factory.
 
Bit on the left hand by a German Shepherd when I was 13 or so. I have an uncle who has one mean Chow that goes after everyone.
 
I do not believe in rescuing pits if there are children in the house but if you are good with pitts from the time they are young, I think they are the most loyal dog you could own. My dog protects my wife and kids over anything and I guarntee there is not anyone who would attempt to come in my house when Im away!!!!
 
I was 2 when my cousin's German Shepard chomped down on my bicept and forearm. Required ~150 stitches total and the scars can still be seen 34 years later. The dog was put to sleep a few months later after it attacked my cousin.

This is a good example, if your story was a pittbull instead of a german shepard, it would have been on CNN and Dateline!!!!!
 
my mom had a Westie terrier. Meanest little bastard ever! that dog bite me multiple times. I laughed the day the lady who my mom gave it to came to get it. Stupid dog.
 
Bit twice... once by a German Shepard and once by a Weimaraner. Both were skittish dogs. The Shepard belonged to a friend and she bit me when I offered my hand for her to sniff. The Weimaraner was sitting next to his owner at a table outside. I got up to leave, reached out to shake the guy's hand to say goodbye and the dog jumped up and bit me in the stomach. Nobody else at the table actually saw it (it was about 2am, outside, and people were drinking) and to this day, the owner and his girl are in denial about it. I just shrugged it off at the time, didn't realize it actually nipped down on me, thought it was more of a headbutt... but it drew blood.
