hard to turn over

try putting the battery on a charger... if the starter turns it over once it shouldnt stop unless there isnt enough juice behind it

ok
after work today i pulled the distributor. this is where im at now . the marks you can see in the pics . this is set when the #1 cylinder blew my finger off the plug hole . not sure if its at TDC on the timming pointer hope this is right. its was WAY off if i got it right now . the rotor was at #6 on the cap

ok i got all the plugs in and no change . i checked all the grounds . put the battery back in my celica and it fired right up . so the battery should be good.its seems that it turns(slow) till it hits compression on a cylinder. going to try the 2g ground strap . but im guessing i need a better starter ,or there something other then the starter going on . i just dont get it no plugs it turns like no tommorow

how does it crank with the coil wire off? still crank slow? if yes, you need a better starter or more current(bigger cables, bigger battery)

i dont have the coil wire hooked up or plug wires .damn thing just doesnt want to turn over ..the way things seem to be going it should fire up some time in jan lol

Have you done a voltage drop test on both negative and positive leads yet??? I would do this prior to keep guessing if the timing is on.
