it was a sad day...real sad.

But, there comes a time when you have to say "keep going to college, or keep this car?". Well, i wanted to keep it but better judgment said to sell it. So, i put it up for sale saturday, someone picked it up today!

Anywho, to keep me a little happy, and to remind me of old times...here are photos of my car on my last day with it!

I saw this car numerous times and it was beautiful....sorry to hear you had to sell but you sold it for a good cause man...You'll get something again down the road...

yeah, i went from having a bmw 7 series to a caddy STS to a 79 jeep to a dsm to an 800 buck cherokee when i was in school...its all good though, because once i graduated and got a real job, i could buy whatever cars i wanted
 
you did the right thing chris! mustangs are a dime a dozen (well except nos v-6 cars) lol j/k

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone! It just sucks cause i really dont have too much to spend on a car. It sucks when you sell your car for 6k, and my bank doesnt go up at all.

But, over the next few months im away at school ill have saved around 1200 by me selling it. So thats very very nice, because i just dont have the extra 1200 to spend on a car, i still owe another 2k to CMU from this years $18k total...haha. A neighbor has a real nice 94 tauras that they take VERY good care of. Its just been used a couple times a week for here and there runs. They are going to give me a very very good deal. So,i jumped from my 02' Mustang, to a 94' beige Taurus..haha. Hey, it gets me around, so i should be thankful for that at least!


Oh, Jim aka coupefastback on here actually spread the word to a friend of his who actually picked it up the day he callled me to ask about it....

So thanks to Motown, and Jim, it was sold quick!

Now on with college!
 
That sucks Chris! But you gotta do what ya gotta do, thank God the few times my dad was serious about me getting a more "realistic" daily driver, the idea fell through each time! I don't care if my car is slow but it does suck parting with a car!

Yeah, my car was STUPID slow...haha

But i still loved cruising around in it. It was soo dependable...and had a ton of fun things like a great sound system..and other stuff...

As for practical, tahts the other reason its gone. It snows SOOO MUCH up at CMU...i just cant drive the car in the winter..haha. and a winter and summer car wasnt going to cut it.


Whatever...im starting to get over it. Ill find something..haha

Man, I was expecting pics of you hugging the car and stuff. :lol: But like everyone says get through school and you will be able to do what you want. I always wanted a toy car while in school but am glad I never got one. My parents made me stick to something I could drive year round. And I couldn't afford to fix things up if something broke while in school. So it worked out well. Thankfully my old S-10 got me through most of school, upgraded to a Lumina Z34 towards the end when the truck got tired. Then graduation time and I picked up the Orange Z. Traded the Lumina in on it. Still have it and still having fun! So no worries man, your time will come.

And :roll: at that movie! That is the first think I thought of when someone mentioned taking the Tauras off any jumps. Great movie!

My mom was crying when the guy drove off. She was like "Your such a huge car guy, it just kills me to see you sell something you have worked to hard to get. And now, your gonna be driving a 94 taurus....that sucks"...hahaha... Thanks mom! haha

Anywho, i tried out this year with my car and college, its not working. The car payments and tuition payments were kick'n my butt. I cant do 18k a year for school, and then the mustang...haha


So, the taurus will do, unitl i can get a jeep. Plus, this helped out my credit. No late payments for 10 months, and a pay off. Thats nice!


Ill still rock the taurus to the MM events this summer...maybe ill put a nice MM banner across the windsheild...haha
