Had New Small Garage built....

I think it included demolition of the old one also. Hearing that price is pretty off-putting! here's the part that will make your mind flip...he doesn't Park cars in there he just has power lifting equipment. He was sick of going to the gym so he built his own. :joystick:
 
Very nice Gary. I'm envious even for your big existing garage. I've been wanting to add more space for years just never had the coin. Ours would have to match the house and be connected. A decent 2 car ad would be at least $50K w/o heat and A/C. Never gonna happen.

Same here.
I am sorta in the same mindset, but also the township already told me I'd only allowed 1/4 of what I would like to build since the living to storage space ratio is already close to being capped out.
The work around to being permitted in going bigger is to ask for a waiver. I have not looked into that process yet, but the pricetag to go larger keeps me from pursuing it further.

What if you built a living a space above the garage?

This is for cold storage only. I have a pretty good sized 4-1/2 car garage now which is heated. I don't need nearly as much space as I built. It is really just to keep the lawn tractor and a few other items. I made it large enough to park a truck in it as a future selling point.
 
I have just about everything in the garage now, except for the lawn tractor. Looks like it is pretty packed....

Wired it yesterday need to add a couple of rows of LEDs (thanks Moneypit)...Going to insulate it today....
