H1 vs. Dodge Ram

power doesn't matter, it's all in the gearing and traction.

Nick

x2, I saw a video where a single H1 with a 6.5 actually drug TWO super duty ford trucks that both had more power than the hummer. The suspension in the H1 keeps all four wheels on the ground hard.

that, 8,500 lbs. and insane gear redeuction..just an FYI the H2 is a Tahoe chassis

If I ever get a truck it'll be an H1 and then I can take turns pulling people out of the snow with either that or this:

I know suspension plays a factor. And i know an h2 isnt a real hummer. Im just saying i know of a older cummins truck that would bet his paycheck all day that he could drag/pull either an H1 or H2, doesnt matter. Im not trying to talk shit cause its not mine, im just saying i know he will do it.

locker vs no locker
all seasons vs mud/snows
gearing and weight
lots of advantages... i would be curious to see a properly equipped ram try it though!

there are ALOT of pull off videos on youtube with H1's..IIRC i dont think ive seen an H1 loose

His power would have to go against 8500lbs in low-lock, with locked diffs, 37x12.5" tires, in the meat of its powerband, and a crawl ratio of 45:1.

I don't think that the new Ford/GM/Dodge HD trucks could out pull it either. They would need significantly more tire and "REAL" locking diffs. All that power would just kill the tires.

Nick

imagine if the H1's actually had an engine under the bonnet lol..what was the turbos power rating? 220hp and 410ft pounds..something along those lines..

OMFG!!!:jawdrop2:

He has that covered. The front and rear are "REAL" lockers. And its not new. Its almost 20 years old. New ones are heavier, this ones only about 6800lbs. Tires are almost exactly that size, i think his are a little wider though. If you ever want to realistically pull your truck against something comparable sometime, let me know. Pretty sure he will do it just for fun once i tell him its a 6.5 GM diesel. lol. Let me know if your ever curious. BTW its a sled pull truck.
