When you get some funds squared away, take a look at Millet scopes. Bang for the buck they're great. The TRS would be a good fit for the AR-10.

.308 AR's are truly badass...I have a DPMS LR308 AP4 that has been sweet.....Unfortunately i miss my M1A, and will be selling the Lr308 to fund the M1A purchase, but purely for the nostalgia, the .308 AR's are very accurate, and fun to shoot. I put a Leatherwood CMR 1-4x24 scope on it for hunting, and love the scope....i would buy another one in a heartbeat.

How much more do 10's cost overall? Optics/Mags/parts wise is there a big difference or is it just the initial investment+ammo cost?
I picked my DPMS up new for around a grand. Typically they cost a little more than standard AR's.
IIRC, the trigger groups and stocks are about the only thing that can be reused. Lower and upper receivers are completely different dimensions.

Yeah. That and your optic if you choose. More often than not most people want a scope on it as opposed to iron sights or a red dot.
I havent priced them out much recently. I just know what I paid for my DPMS. It was the NRA's rifle of the year in 2006.

Nice! I've been thinking about getting one and goin tactical with it and doin a trijicon red dot and sure fire light just to have fun with. My R-15 is set up for dusting coyotes at 300 yrd.

I had a DPMS LR .308. Most accurate semi auto I ever owned out of the box. Buddy of mine snatched it from me after the first time he shot it though. lol
Did you have to modify the feed ramp???? It seams mine only likes to cycle SHARP rounds, anything dull or soft has a tendancy to jam.
