That's my pick. Too bad you can't seem to touch a real one for under 100k now.

Moneypit: What did it sell for?

huge wing, fiberglass bumper, fake scoops, big graphics. all ricers must bow down to the superbird/daytona

Actually the wing was that big too keep the car planted on the circle tracks. The bumper and scoops were all aerodynamics that created a car with less drag coefficient then the 1st gen Viper. Not bad for being developed 20yrs earlier.

There isn't much that ricers shouldn't bow down too.

Back when nascar req'd a min of 500 street versions of a car to be produced for it to race in nascar.

See also the Torino Talladega. R. Petty ran one in '69 (his only year in a Ford)

Those were the days

Gotta go with the Hemi Dart. I built one two summers ago, what a crazy little car. I might take another shot at building one again.

No real number was disclosed but over 150k but it was a true V code 4 speed car (v-code = 6bbl)

I have to totally agree with this as this car (Thunderbolt) as it started a total revolution in drag Racing in early 64. Nobody could really touch it!!!

But I grew up loving all Muscle cars (mostly Chevy's - as growing up they were much cheaper to work on and Mod with my dad).

My other favorites are
- 66-67 AC Cobra's
- 64-65 Plymouth Sport Fury's and Polara's
- 67 Hemi Dart
- 70 Buick GS stage 1
- 69 GT-500

I Love soo many Including my 67 Chevelle!!!

the wing was also designed that high so that the trunk could open

Definatly a GNX!! That is one sexy biatch!!

I second this as it proved you don't need big cubic inches to be fast. Plus, if it was tuned to 110 leaded fuel like the late 60's it would have kicked the f@ck out of big block motors..

That actually doesn't look like the real one...There was only 1 made and a guy named Al Maynard owns it.
This is the real #1
