What year make and model muscle car do you think is the single best of all time and explain why?

My pick is the 64 1/2 Mustang. Because that is when the legend was born!!!

That would definitely be one of my favorites!!! Along with:

1964-1967 427 Shelby Cobra
1968 Camaro
1970 Chevelle SS454

And I'd like to be able to find and afford to buy another 1968 GTO like my dad had right before he got married. He had to sell it for financial reasons. He's paid now, but hasn't been able to find the one he wants...not for a price that's worth paying anyway.

Some of the old school street racing guys might know my dad...maybe not. He graduated in 1976 from St. Clemens. He used to race his 1968 GTO and his 1972(I think it was a 72) Monte Carlo that had either a 396 or 427. The Monte was Green and had flames on the front end. I think his GTO was red. His name is Frank and he would have had a very thick Dago accent back then. And based on some pictures I saw, he used to wear funny-looking, tight pants and tight shirts...but so did the rest of the pour suckers who had to grow up in those times. :lol: :roll:

By the way, if I am ever fortunate enough to be able to afford the 1968 1/2 428 Cobra Jet Mustang, 1968 Camaro, or the 1970 Chevelle SS454 they would have to have the low slung, big wheels, Pro-Touring look...with an un-Godly amount of power!!! Mmmmmmmm.
