Got a ride in a ZR1

best car ive ever ridden in bar-none, and straight out of the box. Im going to have to get one of these someday.

for some reason it did not feel like it pulled as hard as it actually was. But boy could you ever cover some ground with this car. As long as traffic allowed for it, i dont think you would have any problem at all running from the police in this thing. it felt very, very confident at speed and around corners.

supposedly this was the floor model from this years auto show.

He flew past me (going the opposite way) on the beltline saturday. That thing was screaming. It was MUCH louder than I expected.

A couple weeks back, I had a guy go past me heading west on 696 in Southfield on a Saturday afternoon in a new ZR-1 and he was on it hard. I was going 70mph at the time with the windows down in my truck and it sounded amazingly deep and forceful as it passed us. He then vanished in a matter of seconds.

My 9 year-old daughter even commented that it sounded like no car she'd ever heard before and asked if it was faster than my mustang. I smiled and said, "yes it is sweetheart....and it costs a lot more too".

They really are an amazing car. I just wish I could afford one.
