There is a Balkan Market down on VanDyke just south of outer drive that makes them pretty authentically. There is literally an old lady in back making all the stuff like that. The have the smoked slab bacon that is a regional tradition too.

Balkan meat market is the only place you want then from...they sell them at Atko on Hayes and 21 and the Balkan store at 23 and van dyke...among other places. But the Outer Drive is the best and freshest. Pack your gun tho.

Anyone know when the polish market on mound and 19 mile is supposed to open? It's been under construction for at least 5 years. Place is huge though.

There's another going up? I know Srodek's is open just south of 59 on the East side of Mound.
