Good chrome re-finishing place

I am looking into re-finishing the inner fork tubes on my bike, have any of you ever had something like that done? I would imagine most chrome re finishing places could do it, but I'm not sure. Looking for somewhere close to East Lansing.

Story is I pulled the front forks on the GS apart found that the premature seal death on the one side was because of some pitting in the chrome right above the seal. Looks too deep to polish out, and I'm not so sure about filling. Any info would be great, thanks.

Don't even mess with trying to polish them up. If they're pitted, there's no cost effective way of fixing them. Your best bet is to look up "Forks by Frank"- They specialize in new replacement tubes for motorcycle forks. The last set I ordered for a job was around $300, but they're the only source when you run into damaged tubes that are no longer available from the O.E.M.
