Anyone else going to get it tonight or tomorrow?? It is my wife's favorite game series and I reserved her the Ultimate Edition with pandora's box etc etc... We are tinkering with the idea of playing hooky from work tomorrow and doing the 12 o'clock release tonight lol :gr_jest: In all seriousness though I need to make and go to a few doctors appointments and tomorrow may very well work ;)

I could have sworn someone somewhere said its the first sony ps3 game to use the full 1080p programming or some shit....or I could be completely wrong and it could have just been heresay, but the graphics look phenominal and from playing the short demo I can almost guarantee im gonna like it more then Dantes Inferno!

I have personally never played Dante's but Ive watched the wife beat it 3 times straight and I gotta say it is one of the most shallow games Ive seen in years. It starts out swinging just looking and feeling great then falls dead flat on it's face......what a joke the levels look pretty and all but the novelty wears off quick... just my .02 but it certainly looks shitty to me :hitfan:

I love Dantes I was really impressed with the demo so I purchased it, I have heard its a very weak ending but I haven't had time to play it like I want, I want to get GOW3 but I hear I need to play part 1 and 2 first and I just don't have the time to beat them all then start on part 3 :(

Yeah Id think you'd be better off playing the others first as they set up the storyline for 3. Just went and paid for it now will sit home till 11:45 then go get it...then time for bed lol......She owes me BIG for this....

Well got home with it a lil bit ago...... Pandora's box is awesome as is the art book and thusfar the game looks sweet. Best part is the wife is ecstatic....wonder how she will "repay me". LOL maybe I can piihb?? :sagrin:

GOW is one of the few games that the PS has that I want bad. I played the first 2 and they were amazing. Dante's ending is weak. They took what should have been one of the best games of the year and just threw it out there to make it hit stores before GOW.
 
Got it at midnight last night and played till almost 4am lol, had to work this morning, but from what I already played...it has already blown Dantes Inferno out of the water, I like Dantes Inferno but shit got old reallllly quick. GOW every level is fucking eye candy and so are the boss fights. I just got to Helios and I stopped.

And yes Crash I could hear all the game geeks talking "Hey that guy looks like Kratos" lmaoooo! I felt like such a nerd standing in line waiting for my pre-order!

I have a 360 and thats the only reason I bought a PS3 was for GOW3, had GOW1 & 2 on the old PS2 and loved the game play, even bought the revised GOW1 & 2 for the PS3.
 
There's rumors that Hitman 5 will only be on the PS as well. If that is the case, I'm going to go ballistic. I don't want to buy another damn system just for 2 games.
 
That game looks great. I've been busy with final fantasy 13. One of the few games that is MUCH better on the PS3 than the 360.

Yeah no shit I felt pretty dorky as well... Even more so when thee fat clerk chick "congratulated" me on getting the U/E.... I felt like all eyes were on me and I was about to get mugged by a bunch of teenage boys wearing womens jeans :banghead: And as if I wasnt already feeling stupid enough I actually admitted I was there getting it for my wife...that yeilded some even worse looks..... Fuck em Ill pwn em all in mw2 any day of the week :gr_jest: On a real note though the game is badass Dante's is not even in the same realm and should by no means be compared at all!!
