Go Lions

Couple plays could have changed that game, but Saints were obviously the superior team. Saints vs. Packers is gonna be an awesome game.

Detroit is a OL and a couple DB's away from becoming a perennial playoff team. They need to look at the Saints and basically copy what they have done. Dont forget Detroit has Jahvid Best & Leshoure coming back healthy next year (hopefully) so that should help the running game a ton.

Dont blame the refs for this game, the Saints were just better.

I don't consider best even a viable running back. 8 games for a concussion? He's not Sydney Crosby and this is football.

The real point is that things Are getting better. while teams like the Jets, the bears, the Eagles, the bucs, etc have fallen backwards.... The Lions are getting better. BE HAPPY DETROIT! All of those other teams went home a week ago. The Lions are legit

Three things they need for next year:

Defense. Too many guys are just standing out there wide open. They have been getting to quarterbacks all year, so I really won't blame the line so much.
Running back. You can't just go for big yardage plays to the same receivers every game. End up with way too many mistakes. Best has barely played he's not a power running back anyway.
Special teams. Detroit gives up way too much on kickoffs and punts.

So the wheels fell off the cart. The Lions did far better than most anyone expected. I look at this as experience and just gravey on top of the season. Looking forward to the next football season in a lot of ways, both college and pro. On to the baseball season! Play ball!!!

Wings are still on!

The Wings season doesn't start until April. That and unless they are on Versus, I can't watch them.
.

Okay......... The playoffs start in April, but the season is half over. And who cares if you can watch them, we didn't make you move to Florida.

Someone piss in your Cheerios this morning Dave? I watch the Wings when I can, but the Wings are good enough to know that their REAL season doesn't start until April. I'm also a far bigger baseball fan than hockey fan. And in just over a month, I get to see the Tigers live on a daily basis. I have a choice between NHL Center Ice or MLB Extra Innings cable packages. I get MLB. I'd rather see a Verlander no-hitter than a Datsuk hat trick. Just me...

Tough break but its a learning experience, your team has a great foundation and if your draft and FA this year are anything like the last 3 years the Lions will be perrenial contenders in the NFC:)

What, no college hoops? Give up on your spartans already ?

Why would I give up on a Top 10 team? I'm switching cable in a month or so, so I haven't bothered with TBN. Many of MSU's games are on ESPN and most if not all Tournament games are televised. If the Sparties aren't locally televised in the first round, I'll hit the bar.

How do I rank my favorite sports?

1) Tigers
2) MSU Football
3) Red Wings
4) Lions
5) MSU Hoops

I like watching them all. MSU Hoops is kind of like the Red Wings. The season doesn't start until March. Some good games before then, but the REAL season starts in March.
