glass shower surround?

I am in the process of building a new house. Does anyone have a recommendation for a getting glass shower doors/surround made and installed? The house is located in Macomb township.

Check out Wittock's showroom off 23 Mile and M53. When we built last year they had a large showroom with several glass surround showers. Maybe not the lowest priced but a good place to start and get ideas.

Build a large walk in shower with no doors.

I couldn't agree more. I F'ing hated cleaning our glass shower door in our old house and the track was always moldy......my one criteria when we were building our new house was a Roman shower in the master bath. We seldom have to clean it now because there is never water trapped anywhere (it dries out quickly) and there is no door/track to keep clean.

Doesn't an open shower let cold air in? Just pulling back the shower curtain on my shower lets in a blast of cold air.

Washtenaw County Glass did mine. It's a swinging door, so no track or mold. I use rain-x on it frequently, makes cleaning it very easy.

Agreed, our house plans didn't have a door but we added one for that very reason. How do you build up steam in an open shower?

I can not explain why, but I can tell you that even on the coldest of winter days we have no issues with being cold in our shower or there not being any steam. Even with the vent fan running in the shower, there is too much steam because the mirrors still fog up in the bathroom.
