Gingerman vids - a.k.a. too much POWER in the rain

Whoo-ey. Sorry for the late post, but as soon as I got home from last Saturday's event I got hit by a truck in my living room (some sort of super-virus) and I've been on my ass for a week. Brutal.

Anyway, thanks to all who came out, the rain held of (mostly) and we had a good day. Here's some nose-cam video chasing Quasar around the track for a few laps, too bad the battery died halfway through the session. Nothing's more fun than old tires, a wet track, and LOTS of HP!

If anyone else took any vids post them here.

The chase car is this old thing:

But the sound you hear is Johnny's LS1, since the camera is up on the nose you don't hear my car at all...

looks like they repaved part of the new section already? I was out there on the r6 in august and dont remember that...

Sweeeet... I told you to give me the chrome horn a couple times, it would have made for better video! It almost doesn't do it justice though, we are going much faster and sliding around much more that it actually appears..

Matt, yea, it dives like a b!tch. It's a little too softly sprung for a race car. The suspension on this car is 100% of the setup that I transferred from the street car that was meant to handle good and be tolerable for the street. Time to stop playing games and put an truly agressive package under there.

How does someone get into these races?? I'd love to do this...

First off just to be clear the video you saw was not a race, it was an open track day/track rental and we were running in the insructor/advanced group messing around. Had it been an actual race, and had he tried to pass, I would have put a fender into his door and made him regret his foolish moves. :)

You know me and John (Chixidgme) said the same thing when we first started doing this "I didn't even know you could do something like this, this is awesome!" Its as simple as coming to an open track day with your street car. For about $150 you can flog on your ride all day in a controlled environment. No 50mph parade laps around MIS bullshit like posers do. And no waiting in line for hours for one run at the dragstrip TNT night lol.

If you are interested in coming to an event (and there are tons to choose from) feel free to get ahold of one of us. And more specifically if you want to know what it takes to get an Fbody prepared for this stuff I can talk your ear off..

I might take you up on this in the spring. It'll be with the z06 :) I'll do some reading on the vette forums for brakes, tires, and probably the oiling fix. Thanks!
