getting company sponsors? kids team

So, my daughter is on a team of 6 other kids within her school.
This is for a type of fine arts/science, they are in a certain category and have place first in their age group in regional.
The past weekend was a state event, which they placed second.
That being said, they are now in a global competition which is held in Tennessee.
The cost is about $13k for the group to go.
So parents are trying to figure a way to get some sponsors and donations.

Has anyone done this before? We have limited time to do so, but I’m looking for ideas and ways to put the word out for donations to pay for the kids to go.
It is tax deductible if that helps. We have not been in this position before, but looking for ideas.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you!

A Go fund me page should do the trick. Shit if people will donate money for Brian chucky Davis to fix his car then I'm sure you will get a lot of support for kids. Post a link on here after one is started and I would pitch in.

what's it for specifically? might be something u could reach out to Lawrence Tech for etc.

I'm thinking this as well, it is an option to get more coverage of people willing to give. I'd say that the school PTA would have to set this up though in case people want to have the tax deduction paperwork in return.

There is a section of this which is related to something that LTU may be involved with, but the section we are is not.
