Gearhead Homes?

Have any of you worked with the guys at Gearhead Homes? I'm looking for a place to live, and they seemed like really good guys, and they seemed really in tune with my needs and wants in a home. My only real hesitation is that they want me to sign paperwork that would pretty much legally make them my sole realtor resource. Is that something that I should really be leery of? If any of you have worked with these people, I'd really appreciate some input on your experiences.

I don't care how good they are... If they want you to sign something like that... Walk the fuck away...

Just tell them that if they present a house to you that you purchase, they are your realtor. If they are as good as they say they are, there should be no issue.

I have never signed with a realtor. Sorry, but if you want my business, you need to get the house in front of me before I see it. Otherwise, WTF do I need you for?

I wouldn't sign it.

As said above. I never sign with a realtor. I've been using the same realtor for years, but I do all of my own research and normally find the properties myself. I just need a realtor to get me viewings and for closings.

Gosh, the new format is pretty difficult to type with.Leaves out letters and spaces all of the time….

I understand their point. They are doing a specialized dealfor you. You want to find a house with a larger sized garage or something along those lines. They have leads on houses like that in specific areas, where youdon’t. You can spend time searching, but they do additional legwork for you andjust want you to sign with them because of that.

They cold called me about my house several months ago and myhouse isn’t up for sale. They knew a friend of a friend who knows my house, that’s all. So, they only want a specific type of home, wheras other realtors just look at the MLS.

I would have no problem signing with them. Start off with a4 week deal and see how it works out. That is only a month and if you don’t think they are the right company, then leave them…

Just my .02…….Gary
