I have a tpyical bolt-on parts notchback.
I run 26" slicks.
At the track I generally shift around 6k rpm and launch at 6k. I come thru the traps at approx 4800 rpm with a 3.73. Should I go with a 4.10 or 4.30? I'm leaning towards a 4.30

i run 26" and a 410 it traps about 5300-5500 and was told there was noway it could be a 410 and i know what i bought, so im glad you posted this !
i have a bottle on it now so i may need to change it up ...i dont know

4.10 would be better on the street with a 26"
my runs 55 mph at 2800rpm

Well there...I had a 4.10 and a 28" slick and trap over 6k:undecided

5 spd. or auto w/ brake? What do you consider "bolt-ons"? You launch at 6K??

I was launching between 5k and 6k, its hard to peg it with no 2-step. Its a 5 spd tremec. Bolt-ons being cam, intake, heads, 9.5:1 cr.

I don't feel like doing basic algebra so i posted. What kind of answer is that?

not saying im always right or anyone is wrong, just saying i know what i have and what is does with what it has
