Gas to rise 7 cents a gallon, registration fees 20 percent for road plan

Gas $1.75 last night at Costco. Let's all have a good cry about a few extra cents for the roads.

You're more than welcome to drive a car that you own on your own private roads without a state registration.

Yeah, because we don't pay taxes on everything else.

You live in the same area. Think of how much money gets paid in property taxes around here and we still have mostly garbage roads. I get that property taxes pay for other stuff, but every tax/fee/registration etc seems to always pay for other stuff. It's crazy to me that even in many of the nicest areas of the state the roads look like they belong in bombed out Syrian villages.

Michigan's property taxes are totally jacked.
I have family in NC/SC/Miss/LA/ there house taxes for the entire year on a 200+k house is 300 bucks.
Mil rate at my shop is like 70 bucks.... its just crazy expensive.
